Privacy Policy

Seven Ventures LLC (“Seven Ventures,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Ranked, a service that helps residency and fellowship applicants organize and manage Match season. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use Ranked or contact us.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Ranked, we may collect:

• Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, authentication details, and communications with us.
• Match-season information, including specialty, Match year, programs, statuses, criteria, rankings, interview details, notes, outcomes, and other information you add to your workspace.
• Content you provide, such as uploaded materials, conversation prompts and responses, research requests, and feedback. If you enable email forwarding, this may include sender details and the message content needed to import information into your season.
• Transaction information. Payment providers process payment card details. We may receive related records such as plan, payment status, and transaction identifiers.
• Technical and usage information, such as browser and device information, IP address, timestamps, requested pages, feature activity, diagnostics, and security events.

How we collect information

We collect information directly from you, automatically when you use Ranked, and from services you choose to connect or use with Ranked. We may also receive limited information from service providers that support authentication, payments, email delivery, hosting, storage, analytics, security, and product operations.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve Ranked.
• Authenticate accounts and preserve your Match-season workspace.
• Process requested imports, exports, research, and assistant features.
• Process purchases and administer paid features.
• Respond to questions and send service-related communications.
• Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, protect accounts, and enforce our Terms.
• Comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Private workspace information and aggregated insights

Ranked may use anonymized, aggregated information to understand patterns, improve the service, and provide insights to Ranked members. We do not share your individual Match-season workspace with other members. Your individual Match data, rankings, notes, files, and conversations will never be shared with other Ranked members.

Public program experiences and reviews

If you choose to submit a program experience or review for Ranked's public Explore pages, that contribution is intended to be shared with all Ranked members. You retain ownership of what you submit, but grant Seven Ventures a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, publish, display, and distribute the contribution as part of Ranked. We may review, moderate, edit for format or safety, withhold, or remove a contribution at our sole discretion. You will not receive compensation for making a contribution available to Ranked or its members. Do not include private Match-season information or information you are not authorized to share in a public contribution.

AI-assisted features

When you ask Ranked to perform research or use an assistant feature, Ranked may send your request and relevant workspace context to model and search providers needed to fulfill that request. Do not submit information you do not have the right to use. AI-assisted output can be incomplete or inaccurate, and you should review it before relying on it.

Voice coach sends your live microphone audio, selected topic, goals, and limited program context to OpenAI so the AI interviewer can respond and transcribe the conversation. Ranked saves the completed text transcript and written feedback in your account; it does not save a voice recording. You can stop a session at any time. OpenAI may retain API abuse-monitoring data for up to 30 days under its standard data controls, subject to legal and safety exceptions. Do not share patient-identifying information or other details you are not authorized to disclose during practice.

Program information and marks

Program names, logos, trademarks, and other marks displayed in Ranked are the property of their respective owners. Their display is for identification and informational purposes and does not imply affiliation, endorsement, or that Ranked represents any program. Program information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate, and AI-assisted information can contain mistakes. Verify important facts directly with the applicable program before relying on them.

How we disclose information

We may disclose personal information:

• To service providers that perform functions for us, subject to contractual restrictions appropriate to their role.
• At your direction or with your consent.
• To comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Seven Ventures, or others.
• In connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable law.

Cookies and similar technologies

Ranked uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect the service, and understand how the service performs. Browser settings may let you limit cookies, but doing so can prevent parts of Ranked from working.

We use the OpenAI advertising pixel and Conversions API to measure page visits, confirmed account signups, and purchases attributed to ads. These events can include the plan purchased, purchase amount, browser identifiers, and hashed account identifiers. We do not include your notes, conversations, or voice transcripts in these events.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Ranked, maintain security and business records, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention varies with the type of information and why we hold it. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to legal requirements and ordinary backup cycles.

Your choices

You can update certain account and season information in Ranked and download the season exports the service makes available. You may also request help with your personal information or account by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some requests may be limited by law.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Ranked is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as required by law.
