Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Seven Ventures LLC (“Seven Ventures,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your access to and use of Ranked. By creating an account or using Ranked, you agree to these Terms.

Ranked

Ranked helps residency and fellowship applicants organize programs, interviews, notes, research, application materials, conversations, and rank decisions during Match season. Ranked is an independent planning product. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Resident Matching Program, AAMC, ERAS, or any residency or fellowship program, and it does not submit an official rank order list for you or guarantee any Match outcome.

Eligibility and accounts

You may use Ranked only if you can enter into a binding agreement and are not prohibited from using the service under applicable law. You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly notify us at info@ranked.to if you suspect unauthorized account access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Your content

You retain ownership of information and content you submit to Ranked. You grant Seven Ventures a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and otherwise use that content only as needed to operate, secure, and support Ranked and to comply with law. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and permit this use.

You are responsible for deciding what to upload or enter. Do not submit patient information, confidential institutional information, or other sensitive content unless you are authorized to do so and its use with Ranked is appropriate.

Public program experiences and reviews

If you choose to submit a program experience or review for Ranked's public Explore pages, you understand that the contribution is intended for display to all Ranked members and is not private workspace content. You retain ownership, but grant Seven Ventures a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, publish, display, and distribute the contribution as part of Ranked. We may review, moderate, edit for format or safety, withhold, or remove a contribution at our sole discretion. You will not receive compensation for the contribution. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit it and that it does not include private Match-season information or information you are not authorized to share.

Assistant and research features

Ranked may provide AI-assisted organization, research, summaries, suggestions, or other generated material. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Review source material and use your own judgment. Ranked does not provide medical, legal, financial, or Match-placement advice, and generated output does not replace advice from qualified people.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use Ranked unlawfully or violate another person's rights.
• Upload malicious code or interfere with the service or another account.
• Attempt to bypass access, usage, security, or entitlement controls.
• Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without our written permission.
• Use automated means to scrape or extract the service except as permitted by us.
• Misrepresent affiliation with Seven Ventures or use Ranked to deceive others.
• Resell or provide the service to others unless we agree in writing.

Paid services

Some features may require payment. Ranked Pro and additional usage are offered as one-time purchases. A Pro purchase is tied to an active Match season and its purchased allowance; it does not renew automatically or create a recurring subscription. The purchase amount, currency, and any applicable taxes are shown before you approve payment. You authorize our payment provider to charge the payment method you supply for the amount you approve. Except where the purchase terms or applicable law provide otherwise, fees are non-refundable.

Third-party services

Ranked may rely on or link to third-party services. Their terms and privacy practices govern your use of those services. Seven Ventures is not responsible for third-party services it does not control.

Program information and marks

Program names, logos, trademarks, and other marks displayed in Ranked are the property of their respective owners. Their display is for identification and informational purposes only. Ranked is independent, does not represent any residency or fellowship program, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by a program merely because it appears in the service. We do not guarantee that program facts, research, summaries, or AI-assisted output are accurate, complete, or current. AI can make mistakes. You are responsible for verifying important information directly with the applicable program.

Our intellectual property

Ranked, including its software, design, branding, and content supplied by Seven Ventures, is owned by Seven Ventures or its licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Ranked for its intended purpose.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Ranked at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or harm, fail to pay amounts due, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination, including provisions about ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and disputes.

Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RANKED IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” SEVEN VENTURES DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT RANKED WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE, OR THAT CONTENT OR OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SEVEN VENTURES AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO RANKED. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO RANKED WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SEVEN VENTURES FOR RANKED IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Seven Ventures and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, your misuse of Ranked, or your violation of these Terms or another person's rights.

Governing law and disputes

New Jersey law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, disputes arising from these Terms or Ranked will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you and Seven Ventures consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice as required by law. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
